The large-scale single repeat design is conceived as a composition in colour and form, referencing our Assembly fabric, Rag + Bone Collection, and Margo’s handweaving. The weave structure blends warp and weft, creating new shades in vivid colours where they cross.
In developing the designs, we are excited to find a UK mill specialising in sustainable wool, keen and able to produce single-width repeats with an extensive colour palette – this gave our design team extraordinary freedom and flexibility to realise ideas. We love to work with exceptional craftspeople, and the Scottish mill we chose is one of the best, with over 75 years of experience in wool weaving.
